If you're at the gym, find anything that your ankles fit under. At my gym, the dumbbell rack is about the right height. If there's a Smith machine, lock the bar at the bottom and use that.

Nice! The Smith machine sounds like a good shout! (The dumbell racks are right in front of the benches at my fairly small gym, but that's also a great shout for if it's not busy!)

Do you put anything under your knees to protect them? And just body weight I imagine?

I grab a yoga mat out of the gym‘s pile. If they're all in use, a folded towel works.

Lol! I can barely do body weight. Ain't no way I'm going to hold a plate on my chest.

Haha glad you said that, I was thinking the same thing re the weight! Will give them a try! Always juts been worried about both my knee caps trying to eject themselves mid rep!
