My grandma came very close to falling for a "you need to western union us some money to bail your granddaughter out of jail" scam. Scammers are the scum of the earth. Its sad that they grew up in a high trust society and think most people are telling the truth
How did they convince her that they had her granddaughter? Did they use AI to replicate her voice or something?
