I am an android user now but used to use iOS, you have to add a connection in the settings and some make you use face or touch id to connect

Is it a manual connection or in an app?

I just installed Tailscale on my node and I’m kinda new to all that. I think I’m running the vpn now on ios, since it shows on top of my screen. But I wonder, should I keep it on at all times?

Depends on your preferences, I think it will automatically turn off when the phone is powered down (that's how my android works anyway) it's a local one right?

Powered down? Meaning shut down? Or low on battery?

I believe it is a local vpn indeed

If I understand correctly, Tailscale is a VPN that allows you to access various devices in the network from anywhere. It isn't one that is designed to mask your IP. Someone correct me on this if I'm wrong.

If privavy is what you are after, you can connect IVPN, Mullvad, and ProtonVPN to Tailscale.

So I need to connect a vpn to tailscale to secure my privacy? Then what does tailscale actually do?

I’m really new to all this 😅

It allows you to securely remote into your network from anywhere using a device that is connected to Tailscale.

Think of it as more of a portal than a mask.

I’ll have to check on how to do that then. Thx for explaining
