Stable diffusion is a command line only python program that uses your local graphics card to generate images.
AUTOMATIC1111 is a web user interface for stable diffusion, it lets you input parameters and preview images via a webpage.
civit.ai is a website where you can download different models to change the kinds of images stable diffusion can make.
Hugging Face is also a great resource for models.

Thanks for asking a question I had on my mind. I am not so technical either, but this one doesn't seem to be too difficult. There are some nice tutorials out there.
I just tried one, but stopped because it is late and there was a problem running the webui. Will look for possible solutions tomorrow.
