Here’s the update for the very interesting cutting I took from a ….. Mulberry Tree!! Notice the different leaf patterns. These were cut from the same tree at the same time. Seems that the lower thicker branches produce the ovular leaf pattern. The thinner tip cuttings produce a very depictive 3 lobe serrated leaf. #observation allows space for new hypotheses. #permaculture practice astounds me more and more every day.

That is interesting. Wonder if they'll look different over time.
Mulberry is a pretty interesting plant. I’ve seen 3-4 different leaf patterns on the same tree before. I believe it has to due with different stresses/ micro climates which express different genetic switches. Not 💯 sure on that but that’s my theory.
I just planted some white mulberry fodder trees from Nick Ferguson. I'll try to watch for some different platterns.
