1. Access to filter.nostr.wine
2. Largest paid relay
3. Improved client performance (high speed relay that is geographically distributed + load balanced)
4. Improved discoverability (most people who don’t pay for write access still read from nostr.wine)

welcome.nostr.wine is a read-only relay that aggregates posts from new users. It’s totally optional but completely different! https://docs.nostr.wine/welcome/relay-readme
