Damus immediately pings relays when it comes out of background. If the ping fails it will reconnect
Thanks for sharing Will💜, not sure why a lot of times ping reconnect doesn't work.
I occasionally encountered this problem when using Damus a long time ago and needed to restart the app to fully connect to Relay. But after a recent return from using the switching app, the automatic reconnection is very smooth 👍.
Nostur reconnects when coming from background, but it has been a bit buggy in the past, since build 222 on TestFlight I reworked a big part of the network code and its much faster and reliable now.
This is showing no internet -> internet, its similar with coming from background:

The problem we have encountered is that the same logic Freerse reconnects relay particularly smoothly under Android system, but it is not stable in iOS.
