Approximately 2 years ago, I wrote to the Director of my State's Department of Transportation. Her Deputy Director of the DMV was included in that correspondence.

I said I'm opting out of their compliance contracts, and included my rescissioned Driver license along with my mailed letter.

Just recently (December 2025), a traffic cop pulled over my spouse. She told him the car belongs to me. He ran the vehicle information and then told her:

1. The vehicle is not registered.

2. The vehicle does not have insurance coverage.

3. And that she's free to go.

He didn't explain to her:

1. why she's not under arrest.

2. why the vehicle isn't getting towed and impounded.

3. Why isn't he at least issuing her a warning.
