It’s worth trying when you have the option. I didn’t think I’d notice a difference in my experience. I was surprised by my change in mindset. There have been a couple of misunderstandings about my criticism likes. One is that some people think i am insisting on zaps. Another is that I’m somehow trying to dictate whether others use likes. The value of likes as a form of engagement is a standalone discussion, and those twisting it into a greedy demand for zaps are being intellectually dishonest. Whether someone does or doesn’t react on any of my posts, I simply don’t see them. So it’s not a matter of respecting preferences from that standpoint. I don’t see them at all, whether or not someone leaves them. It is not different than if someone screenshots a post or downloads an image. I have no clue if they do, and I don’t care whether they do or don’t.

Oh I totally get it. About 6 or 8 months ago, I decided to stop watching any & all video for a month. Wow, what a wakeup call that was. Video is an attention thief. I have only watched 1 movie & maybe 4 hours of TV series type stuff since then, only watch shorts when somebody insists on showing me & mostly just listen to long yt videos now. I respect preferences, not because I think it matters in the least to you as far as our interactions go, but because it is 100% algo food... so it's less of it attached to people who wish to avoid it as best as possible, since it can & will be used both ways.
And I never took it as insisting on zaps. We've had a few good conversations about that. 😊
I can never go back to reg social media.zaps just elevates the communication. Like when I see 55 sat notification. I attach an internal value to your communication Dawn, before I even see it, and feel compelled to zap you more than others.
For you corn I actually up my zaps for you because I have heard your rational on zaps, and it resonates.
