One thing I did not take into account as one of the consequences of covid is the possible loss of the sense of smell.

Well I have had this misfortune.

I hope it will last a few weeks as I have read from various articles.

However, it is really terrible for me not to be able to smell my wife or my dog or turpentine while painting or coffee in the morning....

It is an infinite sadness.

Hopefully it recovers soon ๐Ÿซ‚

Be prepared for it to be gone a long time. It took me 4 months to get my smell back- and I warn you that some stuff wonโ€™t smell the same once it comes back. For example, the smell of mint in my garden came across as a mix between gasoline and rotting flesh. That took a lot longer to get over but it does get better. For what itโ€™s worth, the afternoon of the day I went swimming in a local mineral spring known for therapeutic qualities, my smell sense came back. Got any mineral springs nearby?
