Tired of people suggesting non-Nostr solutions to me, for problems that could be solved by Nostr.

I don't want to use 15 protocols to send a text message, just because I want to aim it at different audiences or write something different in the message.

Annoying as heck.

You should post this as a short clip on TikTok to make the young folks understand

I'm not on TikTok. πŸ˜‚ πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

:)

lmao I thought the joke was obvious, but I guess it wasn't πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚

LOL I was actually thinking about doing it. I'm very TikToky. πŸ˜‚

I sound like a Valley Girl, tho. πŸ˜‚

Thats a very important prerequisite.

🀣

I have to do it sitting in a car, or it doesn't count. πŸ˜‚

Thats right! 🀣 Another prerequisite.

OMG, just got the joke. 🀣🀣🀣🀣

It was painfully obvious.

I'm a bit slow on the uptake, today.

I think the problem is none of these NIPs or the implementations of them are as stable or as reliable as things like signal and Threema, nor as well designed. At the moment nostr is kinda a jack of all trades master of none type situation

But it's your jack of all trades, not someone else's master of one.

No much more yours as signal if you’re not running the relay

Everyone can have a relay, tho. Even on their cell phone.

they can even be reachable from the internet via the use of a wireguard tunnel and DNS record

Can’t wait until the Damus local relay is fully functional. Good option for ios users

Interested in how this works?

In how the damus local relay works?

Yh

Sure

I use Citrine relay on Android.

Using #0xchat as my main form of comms.

Moved some friends and family.

Is it missing some features we'd like? Yes. Those will come.

Do we get to just use a single protocol while clients compete amongst each other for features and userbase without creating walled gardens? Also yes.
