Help me nostr! A few days ago a report came out by our public health agency after which they warned to avoid eggs produced by people who keep chickens as a hobby because they contain large amounts of PFAS.

I have fully read the report but don't hsve enough knowledge to detect potential flaws.

Concerns:

- No place in the country is apparently safe.

- Apparently eating 1 egg a day already crosses safety margins (set by the EU). (I eat at least 5 a day)

- Commercially produced eggs are safe.

Why I am skeptical and questions that i have:

- They were mostly wrong with their covid spread modelling and vaccine advice.

- How come pasture foraging chickens on commercial farms seem to be fine?

- Are these safety limits overblown? I know nothing about PFAS and what safe limits are and what risks they pose when consumed in larger quantities?

- Do you think i should avoid eating eggs by hobbyists?

- Am i being psy-oped?

Also wondering about this. My bulshit sensor is spiking but maybe it's calibrated too sensitive after learning everything around ultra processed food and how those are somehow recommended and 'healthy' choices.

The source is enough to answer your doubts. Just eat the eggs.

Let's go back in time kids. Somewhere in the 90's a big PFAS factory blew up in smoke in the Netherlands. Covering almost the whole country. In a layer of PFAS. But no worries these chemicals are safe......

Forward 2025.

Let's just say. The 'message' that only factory farmed fowl is save and at the same time that they are deploying avian flu mRNA vaccines test to undisclosed farms (it could be in any farmed egg!) is highly suspect. Primed and ready to go for Easter! Can't have Easter without eggs! Right?

If you want to be Sure. Test soil samples. In micro plastic and PFAS. In and around the coup. And make sure the chickens have a 'clean drinkin source' but that said. The western world has poisoned itself and the rest of the world with fancy space age chemistry. Let's hope the mushrooms and bacteria can help out!

Can i get kits so that I can easily test it myself or have it send somewhere so they get tested?

Ohh yeah there are plenty of labs selling testkits now in the Netherlands that are offering PFAS and soil testing. I've seen prices upto €500. Helps if you know some lab technicians. ;)

You got some zaps coming your way but it's not working right now for some reason.

No worries! Thnx for the heads up. Had to restart node. Was stuck in a loop. Should be good. And you can always support via boosting my dad's and my music ;) then I'll get it later with forwarding service! https://wavlake.com/track/8cdd47e5-ece8-43f0-9f16-cb4a8ca0bbed

This sounds like total bs to me. Notice they don't link the the study, and say "commercially produced eggs can still be eaten" without even claiming that the levels are lower in commercially produced eggs.

Assuming best motives, this is misguided, but given the source I would vote psyop.
