I agree, but, I finally got some of my friends on signal. This was a struggle, so it's hard to have them use another app 😥.

I played around with xmpp and matrix, but could not get any friends to try it. Even ones that say they value privacy

yeah, I agree. I can't think of a reason other than "I don't wanna" 😅

I don't need another thing to complicate my life right now.

I suppose, though I look at it as getting ahead of the curve on new encryption methodology.
