In the Bolt11 specification each payment requires a new invoice. LNURL Pay Requests streamline this process by allowing static codes for payments, similar in function to LNURL Withdraw Requests, but with the roles reversed: the user initiates a payment rather than receiving funds.

LNURL Pay further enhances this mechanism by enabling payments to an email-like address, simplifying the payment process and mimicking more familiar, traditional online payment systems.
