Curious what llm you were you using? I cant code to save my life but been tinkering with llms to see what I can build without knowing how to code. Made a couple telegram bots a Nostr bot nostr:nprofile1qqsw34n9r8jrkys54350nu4ah3pcd4q6ce4jp3dzvzumqsgz0pq8f6gppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qywhwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnzd96xxmmfdejhytnnda3kjctv9uq3qamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wd4hk6tcx3c460. Nothing complex. Mainly using Chatgpt and Claude and I have been way more impressed with Claude. Way less mistakes. When changes need to be made sometimes I have to tell it to solely focus on that issue thats not working not to change anything else. I am sure its probably not the greatest with more moving part stuff but I can see it improving rapidly. I find it great for troubleshooting stuff as well.

I find that sometimes it can get stuck doing a thing that does not work, and then you tell it doesn’t work and it undoes the thing back again. Or goes back and forth in loops like this. Then you need to break it and “help it” to get out of it. Also it is definitely better in some languages/platforms than others.

Yes I have noticed this doom loop way more on chatgpt. Im been using js and for the small stuff I was doing I was able to feed it other peoples code or Info from github for code I wanted to use and most times it would instantly be able to redo it correctly with the new information. Like the nostr bot I used fiatjaf nak tool and it fixed the code with the new information I gave it Directly from the github before it kept messing up. I am amazed that it works but again I am not trying to do anything complex. Still find it very cool.
