1. Find the relays. If they are in US, find and pressure them to stop. If outside us get partners to do the same. Start from largest to smallest relays.
2. Highlight each and every illegal activity that’s happening on Nostr (porn etc etc). Draw attention to it relentlessly on mainstream media. Make nostr seem like it’s for criminals.
i don't know about censor, but I'd make multiple undesirable bots that post illegal/disgusting content that give nostr darkweb vibes which would dissuade normal users from using it and promote psychologically ill people to onboard. market other centralized/controllable entities as safer and more private options. Set up powerful relays and market them as privacy tech so that I could track users and sell their info to other agencies, basically making nostr a criminal honeypot for agencies.

Capture the largest accounts through incentives or other and censor through influence the culture of Nostr.
1. Pass a law forbidding nostr altogether. With high fees or even prison time for anyone running a relay or even accessing the network.
2. Mandate removal of all known client apps from app stores.
3. Suspension of all known client domains.
4. Spam any remaining relays with bot posts
How many people will surrender their Nostr key to authorities as part of cooperating in some plea deal for a lighter punishment, which may also include a gag order to not give the world notice their authentic account has been compromised?
How often will govt target Influencers to manipulate people with Nostr accounts of high credibility?
People should plan in advance some type of "canary in the coal mine" signal that Followers can infer from.
Plant CP on the network and have prosecutors go after relay operators and app developers. Distribute copyrighted material and enlist Hollywood and music industry to file DMCA takedown notices. Let infrastructure providers who depend on the state for protection and contracts (AWS, CloudFlare, etc.) that Nostr is undesirable.
I'd start with mapping all IPs of all relays of nostr. also run a few free and paid ones myself as NSA.
Then, after a few weeks, you know all the characteristics.
Then I'de start to blast the network with bad actor relays and users, also making it hard to use with spam and garbage data.
After a while, I'd even go as far as have coders submit NIP proposals that have all "good" increments, but after a while (when put together) put more strain on the relays.
But in the end, I'd generally try a poison-the-well tactict.
Isn’t file storage like nostr.build a centralizing point? They could just go after those to make the experience unusable.
