Iranians are a group of people. Kind of like the Anglo-Saxons. It's not necessarily the inhabitants of Iran. Simply put it doesn't mean anything.

there you go conflating things again -

Iranians are people whose heritage is specifically Iranian, i.e. from the country

Anglo-Saxons were a cultural collective of all kinds of people from mainly Germanic Europe; wholly different from a nationality, they weren’t even considered “English” or British

and before you begin another diatribe, I was born and raised in England

Iranians are also different peoples and they do not live only in Iran. Read what Iran is in general, not as a country.

There are Russian Iranians in Russia and some of them are not even Persians.

In the Soviet Union there was even a separate republic for Iranians, but not those from Iran, but those who are Tajiks.

Now it's an independent country with a very interesting dictatorship 🤣

But of course I agree that conservation isn't perfect, I just couldn't think of a better analogy, and the Anglo-Saxons are in our ears right now.

Russian propaganda uses them as the main culprits for our failures.

comparison 🤣
