Historically, the Israel and Palestinian conflict is extremely messy. Previous to 1948, Jews began moving back to the area and growing oranges, these oranges became a popular export. Around this period Arabs and Jews lived in peace, and traded, and Jews lived peacefully among Arab nations, including Iraq.

After statehood was given to Israel through the UN, hostilities intensified, with murders taking place back and forth from Israelis and Palestinians, and this back and forth has continued to this day between Israelis and their neighbors.

When Hamas attacked and terrorized Israel on October 7th, 2023, and after years of rocket attacks, I think Israel got fed up and decided to go to war with Hamas.

My prediction at the time was something like, "It's war. A lot of people are going to die, and it's going to be very messy. I think I'll skip this one."

As I predicted, lots of people have died and it seem to have been very bloody and messy. I think Israel needs to do what it takes to assure terrorist attack stop happening, whether that's killing their enemy or diplomacy, but there's also the practical reality of the Gazans who are caught in the middle between Hamas and Israel. I don't think there are any easy answers.

But one thing is for sure. Both sides need to forgive each other if there is going to be any hope for trust and peace.
