Europe!
Was Brexit good or bad? 🤷♂️

They are doing worse in the UK.
£10,000 is the tax reporting limit here.
We normally work with £9,990 lumps 😂
Oh, okay. Cool.
I thought they'd dropped that to 3k?
We're moving just under £10K batches around relatively easily while transferring my wife's pension into Bitcoin.
I just did that for my woman kyc3 of course.
So I just looked it up. Different banks, different amounts in the uk
We’re talking about different things.
All movements of money above £10K have to be reported to the government.
Cash withdrawal limits do differ between banks, but this is nothing to do with tax, that is more to do with money laundering.
Yep, depends on the bank somewhat. I was transferring ISAs around last year and boy did I get grilled. Wasn’t even cash withdrawals (Twas between banks online). Closed the offending bank immediately because the questioning was pure overreach. As for cash, because the “tracking” is lost upon withdrawal, they really make things difficult. Urrgh makes my blood boil. MY MONEY!
Once it's in a bank, it's their money, legally.
£3k is captial gains allowance:

My bank goes on high alert if anything more than £200 happens...
Move £250 and they get a SWAT team out.
😂
You are on a watch list, innit
Well an indie music maker with more than £200 is pretty suspicious to be fair…
You think we left?
We were never really in, let's be honest.
The Euro currency thing, that whole schengen shenanigans
We were never part of the top table 😂
To be fair, isn't that just spain? Where they also have a wealth tax.
My Dad died last year, I am very aware of wealth taxes 🥺
Sure but wait till gov literally wants you to hand over 3% of your bitcoin each year. That is spain now. (tho not the EU)
However, to your original point, I was reflecting today on this story below. At the time of brexit the whole avowed principle of EU was that it would never legislate on matters that could be dealt with by nations on their own (aka "subsidiarity" iirc). What the fuck happened to that?? It is openly a superstate now.
They are suing themselves 😂
Handing over 3% each year!
That is the failure of western fiat systems as a metaphor, right there.
Yeah it's literally organized crime. But now the plebs have power to resist
Which is why I advocate for KYC3 all the bloody time.
What is KYC3 in this context?
Never buy btc from an exchange that makes you give your ID. If possible buy direct from peers. Try to pay in cash. If you can't, use KYC free exchanges like robosats, peach. Have an account that you only use on those platforms. I could go on and on ariston
Ah I was just confused by the 3 😁
EU is getting worse and worse. 🤮
Both.
Buckle up
Seems like both sides of the channel are screwing up the money😕
It’s a competition 😂
You tell yourself!
#Brexit was good for the #UK long term and looking at that image from the 🏧 it seems that the #EU is up 💩 creek without a paddle.
