Fediverse drama!
Discussion
NGL stuff like this is why I didn't want to join someone elses server after mine went down. Joining someones fedi server means I'm carrying all their extra baggage too for better or worst.
It’s another reason nostr is just better, the whole problem is avoided altogether. I’m going to try some of the clients again and see if they’re better.
Primal looks the slickest but for some damn reason I can not react to anyones post or repost from it. Still using iris for the time being.
The leak hurts nostr. People who blocked the bridge will feel justified in having done so (even if it potentially wouldn't have saved them) and others may think blocking the bridge will save them in future.
I don’t think so because it had nothing to do with mostr.pub, it was a malicious bridge. But I don’t really know how it works, do you?
Still trying to work out exactly what happened, but seemingly you had to run that javascript file thinking you were copying an npub which I guess graf and sjw did? There's something significantly more concerning to me in the alog space page anyway that I'm not going to comment on. Will wait for the farmers to dissect everything on me behalf.
Alog page space? But yeah, ppl don’t seem to know how the code was run, I’m trying to figure it out from ppl that know about this stuff.
Fediverse not make the most uncharitable assumptions challenge (impossible)

I think the divide with fedi is significant tbh, too many degens there. At least the bridge exists tho. Btw you have to @ notes. nostr:note1y37fuyysmp3ff7qludpw732vh0yp3nqkrtnul8lhlqedz8z5h30q405xu8
Oh right lol, it is mostly tranny jannies that hate nostr. They don’t want to lose control.
Yeah people will use any excuse and lose their minds and make assumptions. That's why we need to be able to point out that this wasn't even connected to the bridge, that "relay" was just used for obfuscation purposes (that may not have even been necessary tbh).
If you check you should see some federated posts of a guy called @devolve@poa.st who just lost his shit over the "bridge security" and how it shouldn't have been connected and deleted his account.
Nobody is blaming the bridge at all, it wasn’t even related really. I do think it’s sus that it was used tho, almost to discredit nostr.
Is that a damus thing?

Potentially, I guess. Though it does make sense to @ them imo.
Testing to make sure if still comes out right here:

Primal requires a signing extension to actually use it; otherwise it's nothing more than a pretty Nostr browser.
Is there one you trust?
Since I use Librewolf, there's only one to use if you don't want to make an Alby account, and that's a community-made version of Nos2x.
Also, Primal screenshot to show it CAN be used if you have said signing extension (desktop only, unless you use any Firefox browser on Android lol).

+1 for nos2x. I use it for all of my sites I test out now as well.
I hate all of this hacking stuff so I’m going to try to set this up. But I’m guessing there’s no iOS option?
Unless Orion allows for the same extension capabilities as afforded to macOS on iOS, no is the likely answer.
No idea how good this is as I don't use IOS
