I never check on shitcoins anymore. Makes me sick to see.
However, I have a bit of a hard time seeing them having a “renaissance”. Bitcoin dominance went up all 2023 (and it’s a highly inaccurate metric which underestimates Bitcoin) and Bitcoin will likely be the only currency to have an ETF.
The capital markets Bitcoin will gain exposure to will be unrivaled.
I’m more upset about the shitcoinery on bitcoin than off bitcoin.
You seen the follow-the-money stuff, looking behind the curtain of who funded taproot wizards?
and then stamps are far worse than ordinals, which can at least be pruned since they exist in the witness portion of the block.
Stamps can never be pruned and are responsible for far more bloat currently than ordinals.
Am I missing these discussions here, or they not happening that much yet on nostr?
