Today I consolidated all my UTXOs and my total miner fees paid to clean up my tangled mess of sats was .00071 BTC, about $21.

Now that my stack is cleaned up and in order, if I were to move it again... my fees would be 0.69¢

Now I comprehend why this process was so important.
