Gianccomo described it something like: privacy from omission is better than obfuscation , which is better than concealment. Bitcoin/LN > monero > other privacy coins.

Unfortunately that's really a theoretical look at the tools and not a realistic one today.

It's really more like:

Monero > Whirlpooled Bitcoin > Lightning > Standard Bitcoin transactions

Lightning still has serious receive privacy issues and spend privacy issues in many scenarios:
