Anyone can do it. Same for Google and Amazon. Didn't use Microsoft.
Computing is entirely possible without them. It takes a bit of effort to detangle from iCloud, etc but it's well worth it.
GNU/Linux is much better than I'd previously thought. It's actually been fantastic.

You hold a company CEO to a pretty high standard. They all act in the interests of the business they manage. Liking apple is one thing, holding their CEO on a pedestal is just silly.
