> Nobody is actually against Bitcoin having spam filters
You state an opinion as fact.
you can't talk for "everyone"
if liberals or conservatives are sensible ... fine.
If they are retarded and believe in evil shit ... they are dead to me.
is it really that interesting ? nostr:nprofile1qythwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnsv9ex2ar09e6x7amwqyvhwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ycmgv43kktndv5hhyetvv9usqgzn9kpsmllqnsf7wh5tz3wgy4cclsftqqplv8tpayrhwgw8llunevk4p6dz has an amazing UI and it's convenient. If we need to move to something else we can (since we own our keys). Why put yourself through any frustration when you don't need to ?
They don't want you to believe them.
They want you to believe a court of law once all the evidence has been presented and evaluated.
Anything said at this point by any party is just performative.
> The dehumanization of a very specific minority group of people
She doesn't dehumanize any group of people
she simply says that this group of people (A) is not the same as group of people (B) .. which offends group of people (A).
If you can't distinguish between causing people offense and dehumanizing then you've got a cognitive issue.
Rowling is none of these things. Instead of just saying shit, show evidence.
> Knots is a minor fork of Core.
How do you know, have you reviewed it ?
A few things come to mind
1. backups and DR
2. automation (IaC, scripted deployment, templates etc).
3. more bitcoin/nostr related deployments
4. nested virtualization for some more "lab stye" stuff which won't impact the production systems.
5. expansion of my media streaming to include automated show downloads based on a netflix-like algo.
I've got a ton of ideas, i just need to find the time :)
I've finished stage 1 of my new #homelab install. (hardware/proxmox/storage). I just need to strip exif from the images (for anonymity) and I'll publish details.
i'll pledge 100k sats for a good guide which meets nostr:nprofile1qy28wumn8ghj7ctvvahjuat50phjummwv5hsz9nhwden5te0v4jx2m3wdehhxarj9ekxzmny9uqzqcufhejfreakj05lx68vaz8u69zlqlqx35kphwhyy3aekhh588fj635pzk requirements above.
If you reframe your life through the above... your current situation and the reasons for it completely change. This is causing some pretty deep introspection nostr:nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7etyv4hzumn0wd68ytnvv9hxgqtxwaehxw309anxjmr5v4ezumn0wd68ytnhd9hx2tmwwp6kyvtjw3k8zcmp8pervct409shwdtwx45rxmp4xseryerdx3ehy7f4v3axvet9xsmrjdnxw9jnsuekw9nh2ertwvmkg6n5veen7cnjdaskgcmpwd6r6arjw4jsqgq6lcx8fc7h0p8t4ya9u0a92jnwavqe9rgjwwdw3wjgxfuxsz8rd5mths8c, damn you :)

This would only be said by someone who's never been legally compelled to do something before. Talk is cheap nostr:nprofile1qyxhwumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmvqywhwumn8ghj7mn0wd68yttsw43zuam9d3kx7unyv4ezumn9wsqzq5q9f5r79n0n9vgr2ammm88h8xf2ft3zlywpffmzald2t0mp7364lply0z
I genuinely hate posts like this. If you're going to make a post saying you were banned, then name and shame else it's just noise.
For all the people who think that AI (in its current form) is going to take over the world, or at least take over human roles .. this is a great discussion
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0P7gwog9eA
I have a long history in tech (can't say more without DOXing) and it's clear to me that AI has hit a wall with the current implementation method. The current architecture can't create anything new - it uses human created data as a basis for the new mixed output it creates. Don't use it for anything where details, facts or reasoning is required.
We're still going to have to rely on people, new content and new AI architectures to achieve the dream of AGI.
I've finalized the specs for my new homelab server. I've decided to go for a converged infrastructure initially. So we have:-
AMD EPYC 7452 CPU (32 cores, 64 threads)
512GB of ECC RAM
2 x 10/25 gbps fibre cards
1 x GPU (TBC) for plex transcoding
2 x PCIe NVME cards (4 x 4TB Samsung 990 pro drives) for VM storage
15 x 20TB disks in raid z2 (~260 TB or so usable space)
LSI 16 drive HBA card
Most of the above has already arrived, just waiting on 5 of the disks.
The server will be running proxmox 9, with virtual truenas. To keep things stable and to ensure truenas gets access to disks for monitoring etc I'm going to be doing PCI passthrough of the LSI HBA and the 2 x PCI NVME cards. Additionally I'll be passing through one of the 10/25 gbps fibre cards to ensure that my storage has direct network access.
The virtual nas will provide the iSCSI/NFS/SMB storage out to the VM host and the rest of the network.
Once my last batch of HDDs arrives (~24 hours) I'll start the build. Going to document the process on nostr as we have a growing homelab interest based on messages I've received.
Anyway.. more to follow

> how come it's okay for two subcultures to fight naturally, but not okay for Cyph3r to be part of one of those subcultures?
it is ok ? They're just being nonsensical.
> You think you can talk to me like that
Yes, yes i do.
you don't deserve any respect.
you deserve to have people critique your ideas and mock you if they deserve it.
pointing out it's a single dev is not overreacting
pointing out there aren't other meaningful contributors is not overreacting
pointing out that Luke has a TERRIBLE record on security is not overreacting.
You appear to be on a campaign of distraction on this topic.
What is happening is natural, it's a fight between two subcultures, let it play out. The world doesn't need you adding to the FUD.
How about instead of moronic ad hominem's, you contest what they say, or not ?
The point about a single dev who makes all decisions and pushes changes to master is correct no ?
Any other contributors are doing doodles in the margins, icons, hashes of files and other low value/impact things.
My homelab gear has arrived in my country 😉 can't wait to get this lot built and installed. Went for a 32 core EPYC with 512GB ram. Going to get the 300TB of HDDs sorted this week and then once my NVME cards arrive i will get the VM pool sorted.
Build will probably be next week, complete with pictures and a writeup of course :)
#homelab
spammed it to a few discords/communities I'm a member on.
Im going through the same thing. Have new rack mounted hardware on the way to run it all.
Working on selecting the HDDs and SSDs for my new home server. I underestimated how costly 300TB of good disk space is. This is going to hurt 😉

he presents himself as intellectual but if he ever interviews on a topic you personally understand .. the illusion is broken.
One of the best parts about nostr is the lack of real discoverability. I mean this seriously! when i follow someone I generally go through their follow list to 1) find awesome people and 2) learn about the type of people they get value from.
There is a real nuance to #nostr which takes time to become obvious.
They get the bitcoin in some cases specifically to purchase from me. Or they hold a small pile of BTC to generally buy from vendord which support it but they don't see themselves as bitcoiners. You're aware there are a ton of vendors who discount their stuff when purchased in bitcoin right ?
You asked what people used. I said I'm following because I'm interested. Didn't think it was that confusing :)
Some really good takes on what's happening in the UK right now
