I can help provide you some info on running the node, it’s not complicated. Easiest plug and play way I’ve found take an old laptop clear the hard drive and put Ubuntu on it download bitcoin core from the App Store and hit go. Depending on how much space you have on the hard drive will determine if you run a full or partial node but either is fine. Mines running on an old 2011 MacBook.
