None of my friends are celebrating what happened to Charlie today. None of my friends are taking up arms and declaring war who the internet has declared as responsible.
The accounts online pushing for violence from both sides are not your everyday citizens, they are primarily bots, mentally ill, or domestic / foreign government agencies pushing for war.

After selling insurance I was self employed and struggled to get a home loan in the states. So I did the reasonable thing and went to work for a small loc bank as a teller. They hired me as a loan officer.
I learned that when you walk into a a bank and deposit a 100k you can basically do whatever you want.
Our bank charged 2% above the fed rate and called it our prime rate. Mr. 100k paid the fed rate. Our bank charged loan origination fees, Mr. 100k did not. Our bank had to see and be a first or close second position on every bit of collateral often times way above what was lent out.
We just took Mr. 100k’s word for it. After his deal was paid he took out his 100k and went to the next bank.
We wrecked every small business owner in fees, interest, and busy work. People with great credit scores and no debt we wrecked.
I sold insurance for State Farm for a whopping 6 months. Having the head agent sit in my office and pressure me to call all my family was bizarre to say the least. (I didn’t give in).
One day I asked why we would ever sell whole life insurance to anybody when we could just help them open an IRA.
The answer was people feel like they have to pay life insurance they don’t feel like they have to co tribute to their IRA.
I quit the next day.

Finally bit the bullet and permanently deleted Facebook/Instagram. Hadn’t posted on either for years, justified keeping for marketplace and connecting with family. Ultimately just turns into a major time suck.
I wish platforms like rumble offered more utility when it came to “how-to videos” because YouTube is another hunk of algorithmic time suckerey

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. It’s a financial/lifestyle sacrifice but through careful budgeting we’re able to keep my wife home. She’s with him all day everyday and as a result she’s way in tune with his emotional state and he’s a happy, confident baby that has his needs met well before they become a meltdown.
