My main concern with anarcho-capitalism is whether there is a mechanism to prevent certain elites from gaining even more power while redistributing wealth from the government to the people. The reality is that for the wealthy, becoming even wealthier is far easier and more achievable due to the power and resources they already control.

The actual ("hard") data--especially in the form of "economic surprises" (to the upside or downside)--have been steadily improving since mid-March 2025.

Meanwhile, the sentiment ("soft") data has fallen off a cliff since late January 2025.

LESSONS:

- To succeed as an investor and/or saver, learn to place facts over feelings.

- Trust the hard data... not histrionic, politcally-motivated opinions.

- Invest in the future, not in the present or (especially) the past.

Consistency is key.

I understand that the dominant ideology here is anarcho-capitalism, which I personally criticize and see little to no benefit for society. To me, it's an extremely individualistic ideology that fails to redistribute power and resources to the people. However, I truly enjoy being in a community where people hold opposing views. As a storyteller, experiencing different views on life nurtures me. Being surrounded *only* by like-minded people would be boring to me. It would be my personal hell, to be honest.

As long as everyone is kind, I'm happy.

I haven’t thought much about the exploitation and scarcity side of things yet. I started in the optimist camp. I did though arrive at the same conclusions about running nodes. I would like to start with a Bitcoin node first, just need to find the right source of information to get started.

I think the thing that concerns me the most about the supposed coming AI wave and its integration is just the lack of proactive investigation by what seems every one of my family, friends and colleagues. I am finding myself motivated to talk about strategy and implications peer to peer but I guess I am early.
