It didn't work... even cheating and using the instant pot didn't help, I got a burn error because no matter how much I separate the tomatoes from the bottom of the pot it throws up a burn error ๐Ÿ™„. Food wasn't burnt and came out great anyway, today just wasn't my day to vibe it...kid ate more than he thought he wanted, so that's a plus. #vibecooking

I add a half cup of water or chicken broth to the Instant Pot to prevent burning. It works, but some of the meals are too soggy for my wife.

I eat for the nutrition, not the taste, but I guess that makes me weird.

Worst part is I added a bit more liquid than called for ๐Ÿ˜’. It worked out well, it was just a bit more work than I was wanting to put in. I think I got one of the models that's super sensitive to the hot spot sensor. (I read something about they upped the sensitivity and then changed it)

The food was tasty and decidedly not burned, but vibe cooking would be better if it actually worked ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Lol. I bought a Crock Pot recipe book online about a decade ago. My family used to prep meals for a month and put them in the freezer.

I "vibe cooked" these meals in the Instant Pot. Most of them were great, but sometimes they sucked. ๐Ÿ˜€

I have an instant pot cook book, the recipes are pretty tasty. I've never been a crock pot cooker. But yeah sometimes the best laid plans end up sucking.

I'm just havimg a lazy day today and no easy to cook junk in the house. I normally love cooking (without the ip), it was just convenient today or so I thought ๐Ÿ™„.

i vibe with this

lol

It's a whole vibe...

instapot is just a panic inducer lol

Wifey always thinks the kitchen is gonna explode :P

Lol, I remember a friend telling me to be careful because they explode. It's handy for soups, today I made chicken to shred up for tacos.

that sounds amazing <3

We need to use ours more. I might have to buy her a new one though

- i may have used it to pressure cook a chicken for the puppers to eat.

It works great for cooking up a whole chicken to use in stuff. I'll sometimes cook up a bunch of chicken and then throw some hoisin sauce on it for keeping in the fridge for snacking. Cooking a pork butt for soups and meals works great, too if it's on the smaller side. I like when I don't have to heat up the house with the stove for hours. I have a cookbook by Jeffrey Eisner that has some great recipes.

I just always have bad luck when I add any kind of tomatoes, it's a known problem on some models ๐Ÿ˜’. The meal turned out just fine this go round, meaning my chicken thighs were cooked through so I didn't have to dirty a skillet as well.

Heating up the house from like apr-sept is for the birds. This is Texas.

how does hoisin make chicken good for snacking in a fridge?

Its a meat glaze! How interesting.

Lol, I agree ๐Ÿฅต.

It's just saucy that way, I don't like plain chicken, lol.
