But more than anything... Bitcoin Conference is not bitcoin nor is it the community. Its a conference operated by Bitcoin Magazine. Let us remember that RFK is also speaking at this event as well.

I used to be manipulated by the fancy words of the educated progressives but since I've actually read more books than they have and I've actually watched Donald Trump speak I can proudly say that the super elite know-it-alls are useful for the cause of preventing (stupid) Americans from organizing but not Americans that own businesses, take care of their families and get things done.

So yes, go ahead and stay home. Don't hitch your mind to anything. Be the enlightened fodder for authoritarian faceless regime.

I felt the same way. Then my dad started asking me about Bitcoin for the first time because of Trump. So there may be some positives we’re not considering.

I am not quite sure I subscribe to this... The Trump crowd in my experience is quite more self-govern, entrepreneur, assembly of the people by the people for the people oriented. 🤷🏻‍♀️ That's a pretty good psychographic in my opinion that may have an open mind for #bitcoin adoption.

Bitcoin is for everyone, your friends and your enemies alike. Trump speaking about it is literally bitcoin adoption. It doesn't matter if you like it or not it's part of the process. The Republicans were always going to be the first of the two US parties to adopt it. It's all just part of the process.

The irony of seeking permission for a permissionless tech. It seems like there are 2 angles to this - your store of value possibly increases if you sell your soul in return, or you could reach out to as many people globally and increase bitcoin as its usage of money. The former is the shorter path, the path frequently taken, the path many are comfortable with. I’m presuming Trump will say “vote for me and in return i will impose favorable laws, buy bitcoin as global reserve asset or a strategic US Treasury asset, next digital gold, boost institutional investments etc” There is no guarantee that he will do any of it, but by the time you find out it will be too late. That's how politicians win every time. It is what it is.
