Living somewhere with a temperature regularly over 20 celsius and in the sunshine is so nice

Makes my childhood in UK very cold, dark, and rainy!

My wife reacts way more to the darkness of the winter months in Central Europe - she just didn’t grow up here, so it’s hard for her not to get actually depressed! 😔

In UK our days are only 8 hours, gets dark at 4pm. I live the summer, long 16 hour days.

Yeah I get down in the winters too. 🫂

For me it is actually way more productive than the summer months :)

Yeah I see, less distractions. True 👍

I'm in UK. Been here all my life. My parents emigrated in 60's. I have a re-occuring conversation with my parents, why, why, why did you come England. You could have picked USA(southern states, California, Florida), Australia, where the sunshines all year round.

I shouldn't bash UK too much, the summer are nice...😳 No summers are really nice☀️.

But snow already arrived early last week 🥶

I think its time to get out of dodge! ✊

I am English. I know the vibe! Married an Aussie and hence ended up here. Life is full of twists and turns!

There is a balance though. When the temperatures start getting anywhere above 25c my brain starts to slow down, and above 30c the higher functions basically turn off.

AC helps ofc but then you're restricted indoors...
