I have seen a few documentaries on San Fran and the similar issues you have to Vancouver. Were you up here visiting family or friends? I live just outside of Vancouver and occasionally drive down E. Hastings St to get to downtown for work or an event I'm going to.
I was in Vancouver for work. It's a beautiful place and most of the drug issues are localized to a few regions like in San Francisco.
I will definitely come back with the family for fun getaway weekend.
