Yeah luckily the smell gave it away so no physical harm done.

Pressed charges and nothing came of it. Bitch literally tried to blind someone and it's brushed off as "yeah we know buddy, women can get emotional". The shit women can get away with is just insane. A dude trying to blind a woman would be all over the news here, with at least a few years of jail. Anyway, at least the cops simply getting involved was enough to put it to an end.
