Trump also failed to onshore manufacturing.

IotaWatt is an example. Formerly American made product. Component costs became unpredictable because of constantly changing tariffs. Suppliers were no longer able to tell them a cost at time of order because they did not know what their tariff would be on ship date. It made more economic sense for them to offshore to get predictable supply costs with a single tariff between them and only American customers causing pricing issues.

Ironic

Trump when his Tariffs to onshore manufacturing cause American manufacturers to offshore instead.

Sometimes you just tell the joke because you think it is funny and who cares if anyone gets it.

Do you have a link to an article that talks about this? Wanna send it to a trump fan who thinks tariffs are actually good and working.

Why trust a reporter, straight from the small business owner himself on his own site.

Just wondering if there are more examples or a list of them because this guy will just say it’s only one business

I know of this one because I own the product and recommended it to nostr:nprofile1qqsqdzwltpr635ehdzfd52tz947qlhq77x2c7j7yguwep9n258k2nusprdmhxue69uhhw6r9v96zu6rpwpc8jarpwejhym3wvdhj7qgmwaehxw309a6xsetxdaex2um59ehx7um5wgcjucm0d5hsz9nhwden5te0wfjkzmre9ekkcettw5hxgetk9u8ch5pr only to find out it is not available.

The reporters are complicit so they won't report on issues like this.

Note that this is primarily a small business issue. Larger manufacturers have the volume to demand a known price from suppliers. So you won't see Gigafactory move. It will just be a death of 1000 paper cuts.

The conspiracy minded side of me says that is intentional. Wage slaves are more compliant than independent business owners.

Agree with you on that completely. American Dream is dead when the small businesses can’t survive.

WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!?

WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU LADY?!

WHY THE FUCK DID YOU HUG MY HEAD!?

WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO HIM!?

Snoochie Boochies

yes I'm doing what I'm doing thanks to Trump's forbidding US chips being sold to China

Wait, are you overeasy (iotawatt makers product forum handle) or do you have a different product offshoring manufacturing due to Trump?

If something else, what are you offshoring? Can you elaborate on why?

neither. i was saying how Trump effectively helped industries shift the balance from US being dominating to a multipolar state, because OEMs are concerned about the geopolitical risks in supplychain
