The reporters are complicit so they won't report on issues like this.
Note that this is primarily a small business issue. Larger manufacturers have the volume to demand a known price from suppliers. So you won't see Gigafactory move. It will just be a death of 1000 paper cuts.
The conspiracy minded side of me says that is intentional. Wage slaves are more compliant than independent business owners.
Agree with you on that completely. American Dream is dead when the small businesses can’t survive.
