If you have bought a new iPhone every year since 2011, you have spent $8,337.

Now if you took the same amount of money you spent back then and bought #Bitcoin  instead, you would have stacked 33.9146 #Bitcoin , now worth $2,117,257.38

It's not about luck, it's about priorities and education. Stack #Bitcoin, not IPhones.

And by the way: IPhones got a lot cheaper on a #Bitcoin  Standard and increased tremendously for Fiat folks.

As someone who has done this, I can attest that seeing it spelled out hurts.

I stack bitcoin FIRST for the past six years and see what discretionary purchases may happen AFTER.

In my (lame?) defense, I’ve been an iOS developer since 2010 and in the early days each new model was kind of a requirement. Not as true in recent years.

Regardless of what the purchase is, I consider the cost in Sats and ponder future value of both. Definitely spending fiat more rationally since becoming a bitcoiner.

7,5 years, still the same phone. Not even an iPhone, some middle-class Sony shit.

Exactly and that’s the sad thing about it. There is no difference in let’s say IPhone X and IPhone 15 that improves your life significantly.

Smartphones, as an concept, reached their potential. Besides the effects of built-in obsolescence, there’s not much of a need to upgrade.

I was thinking about doing this calculation with my mortgage ☠️
