It wasn’t politically expedient to do so in 2020. Now it is. Way of the world. nostr:note1k5uxas8974r2wke3m7qfemjnx024ryd6zqg3ec09f2t5y6jf286syuta9z

In what way is it now more expedient?
Crypto became a wedge issue this election. The political winds shifted in ross’s favor.
But once in office, where the actual pardoning/commuting could occur, what incentive does a second term president have to do this (or anything)?
It’s fair to claim that *saying* he’ll do it is now expedient. But actually doing it? I how would that be to his benefit?
Second term presidents are the ones who do the majority of the pardons. They have nothing to lose.
Why is Trump a second term president if he is elected 2024? It has to be consecutive terms to be second term. Or do I fail to comprehend?
22nd Amendment:
No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.
Agreed. I would guess those pardons tend to be for crony, quid-pro-quo reasons. Freeing Ross grants no such back-scratching benefits (AFAIK).
I’ll believe it when I see it. I don’t expect Trump to do anything that doesn’t materially benefit him, and I don’t see how a Ross pardon does that.
Trumps a narcissist. He’ll pardon Ross just for the congratulations he’ll receive.
I do not see any problems with that/:)
He is acting in his best interest. Like each and every one of us. Politicians are just that with bigger agendas. Never rally behind or against politicians. It is a waste of time. It is a TV show.
Plus to prove to the haters that his word means something
