All the firewood we need for the winter is split. I stack about 1 month of wood by the door at a time.

Thanks to my generous and tough as nails neighbor, who split it all for me. He's retired and could see I was struggling to find time to get wood prepared for the winter. He told me it just felt good to know he was fortunate enough to be able to help someone.

This might be the first winter where we have wood leftover. That will be good motivation to finally build a woodshed and start maintaining a stock pile of fire wood.

I already burned a lot cause temperatures wore lower than usual this year.

So i guess i will run out of Wood in December.

but i really need a lot.

Do you have natural gas as a backup or are you going to have to get some Bitcoin miners hashing to keep warm?

I'm having an oil burner coupled with the wood stove going in the same circle. But obviously we burn the wood we have first.

I hope you get to keep your oil tank full and find some more wood to burn.

Thats awesome! And what a gem of a neighbor you have.😊

We have a wonderful relationship. We help each other a lot but he went above and beyond this time. It was truly a gift.

Ugh. Reminds me I've got to finish stacking mine and get the chimney swept.

May I please borrow your neighbor?

Seriously, I couldn't believe it. He just kept coming over every day until it was all split. Needless to say I will be sweeping his chimney and bringing by plenty of lamb for him this winter.
