Little secret. In my early days of working as a programmer, I would use a plugin to automatically track how much time I spent writing each professional email to my colleagues in the company. Then I would assemble a spreadsheet with each e-mail, and the time it took to write it, multiply it by my hourly salary, and offer it to my manager to evaluate if it was worth the company's money or not.

Soon enough, I wasn't receiving ANY e-mails anymore.

Best time ever.

You were lucky your company gave a crap. Everywhere I work(ed) they don't. Somehow it's more imporatnt for them to "communicate" the do.

So I have a different strategy. I'm so direct that nobody want my answers. They think twice before including me :)
