The ideal design would be simple & reliable circuits first, then possible silicon aided enhancements that are independent & not needed for basic function.

I want micro controllers for different features that can be replaced or removed like relays or fuses.

NOT a central black box computer that has to be reprogrammed for basic functions when the battery dies, or if a part needs to be replaced, that costs an arm & a leg, & can be remotely controlled. The current state of things in the auto industry is legit nightmare shit if the govt wants to use it.
