I appreciate your perspective, but let’s not get hyperbolic here. This is still a protocol, it’s decentralized, and you are free to use a different client or fork your own. No one is forcing you to use the #onlyZaps feature, and I should be able to choose to use it freely myself. For me, it cuts down on meaningless noise. If I “like” someone’s post, I either comment on it or send them a zap if they provided me some value. Likes are a vanity metric that provide little signal (or value) to the recipient, and is a lazy form of engagement for the giver.
