It's here! The Pixel 9 Pro XL is such a big upgrade from the 6 Pro. I'm a big fan of the new edges and redesigned camera bump—it finally looks and feels like the flagship phone it is.

As expected, the easy data transfer wizard simply did not connect to my GrapheneOS phone. I had to set up the device as new, and now I start the process of manually moving things over.

I'm okay with that; it provides an opportunity to reassess my installed apps and remove the non-essential. Thankfully, the automatic Google Fi eSIM transfer was seamless.

They’re not bad. Depending on your current phone it could be a valuable upgrade. However, between the 8 Pro and the 9 Pro XL the differences are negligible to warrant the price tag. As long as my phone works I’ll keep using it.

Unless the 10 or 11 flagship models decide to really add some upgrades
