Honestly the idea that politicians even ask peasants for money is fucked. It’s like, “hey i’m committed to fucking you in the ass even harder. Give me whatever we haven’t already stolen from you pls”
It's a classic 'send me one and I'll send you two back' with the addition of 'when I'm elected' and of course that never happens.
