Real estate is a shitcoin

Not enough talk of this, in my opinion.

Surprised to learn that no U.S. state has no property tax. TIL…

500 euros per year isn't bad where we are. Slavery costs more elsewhere, therefore we're lucky tax slaves. I'm grateful to our masters.

yes always good to have a generous master.

Different in the UK, we don't have property tax, but still can be compulsory purchased for numerous reasons.

yeah always "eminent domain" in states as well

And (frankly) it shouldn't be that way--if yo've got a bank loan, I get it (you're in debt to your lender).

But if your debt is paid, you shouldn't be a slave to the state...

"Government isn't the solutuion, government is the problem"

In the physical world there is only one universal rule: you own only what you can defend in violent measures, including defending from the state.

Very true, but my mortgage payment even with escrow is less than half the average rent. It’s not perfect, but it’s better than straight up renting.

You can't be an anarchist and believe in ownership of land property at the same time. Its as stupid as being an anarchocommunist, whatever that means. Land is a natural commons and therefore can only be held by force.

interesting take. anarchy does not preclude private property

It doesn't preclude private property in that if you can defend private property yourself nobody can stop you from having it. But practically speaking, nobody can defend private property themselves. Only groups and organizations can do so. I'd say that groups and organizations that would secure private property for themselves qualify as states, and are free to rent their property to others, which leaves us with what we have now, and most certainly not anarchy.
