It's wild to me that I'm 40 and there are twenty year olds who know less about computers and technology than I do. What a waste of progress. The fact that it's the majority, too... There goes our hopes of a science fiction future.

you have to like, get angry at the school teachers or something, man. they literally taught us nothing in school then I learned the C programming language in 1 year on my own after. I realized that they didnt teach us C and python because that would not make us reliant on them anymore. You gotta realize WHY man
So the Apple II was still in the library when I was in elementary school. My first ISP was Prodigy. Tech classes weren't a thing until I was in high school. Everything I know I had to learn independently from the school system. Schools don't teach you to change tires, but Gen Z doesn't even seem to want to drive. I dunno, man. I blame "feel good" parenting, in all honesty. Zero pressure to achieve anything.
The lockdown of the software is killing the brains of children thats my take on it from the tech side of it. My entire graduating class was relatively uneducated when it comes to computers whatsoever almost like they just know how to scroll an iphone like a hamster.
