The easiest way is certainly nostr:npub1m7r9aayrqjtt2q0whkyrwlys75s5d828c5uewvqwyfd2kxefkfjqgeny2w . You can spend on groceries, furniture, entertainment, clothing and amazon in Romania πŸ‡·πŸ‡΄. Obviously a way to almost entirely live on #bitcoin.

I'm forced to spend 10 Euro, when I need only 3

And I'm forced to spend them in specific locations.

Sorry just tried to help. I used bitrefill already in spain, germany, switzerland and poland. U can just use it for groceris, it just works. Maybe your attitude is a little cannot- ish instead of may not. The latter is not true. Bitrefill is a cool tool

You don't have to say "sorry" 😊

I know that you wanted to help, thanks πŸ™.

In my town in this country, I don't have Kaufland, Carrefour, so I have to go 30km to use Bitrefill, for those 30km I need gas money, so I need those fiat.

What I'm trying to say is that my money are blocked, are almost useless at this moment. Before I was exchanging the amount I needed, and I was moving them to my card in minutes, and from there I was spending how much I needed at that moment.

It's not the case, but if for some reason it happen to run out of money, I have nothing else to do with Bitcoin, except to go through all the banking operations and get half of the amount back.

I'm just explaining the situation from my point of view, and in Spain, Poland and other countries, including Bulgaria here near us, you can use euros, I also lose on the Euro/RON transaction, because I can't pay anywhere in euros, even if I have euros in my account, the bank will automatically convert euros to RON.

Binance, kraken are taking now 1% fee just for instant transfer.

Compared to my monthly income if I'm forced to spend Bitcoin I will only lose.

This is why I said this bullshit country.

Thanks for finding the solution.

Sure of course not optimal. But still useful for some who have the option to do so. In Poland I can buy gas with Gas station vouchers. Not too bad.

Now I've seen that you have put OMV, in my town I don't have OMV, just Petrom, and Castrol.

I can't buy neither gas with vouchers. πŸ˜‚

I'm stuck with my Bitcoin in my wallets 😞

Have you tried crypto creditcards? Nexo is not too bad. Regulated outside EU. Virtual credit cards works. Of course again not the optimal way but still a way. Try with small amounts. Custodial risk exists, bit still cool.

(Not endorsing Nexo, or getting payed in any way.)

No, I will research now, to see if it's useful for my case. Thanks πŸ™.

On and off ramps with fiat always cumbersome. Try to avoid that. Just send in some crypto.

propanda - fees spend way way high unless user are OG

Of course it is not optimal, you are using middle man. Everyone wants his share. And yet a way to use crypto for groceries. β€œPropaganda” sure dude

crypto n bitcoin - works in small places n countries where banking costs are slow n high - right now "method of payment" for local merchants in most g60 countries almost zero fee. that function nearly dead. cross-border purchase of virtual items has some advantage but outside EU

merchants like bear the costs ONLY their sales goes up by VOL

all LN tech shit in salvador n brazil is managed by custodial service so street workers no need do any shit or channel shit

Kennst du den Blog von Markus lebenaufbitcoin.space?

i recently discovered Bitrefill... i think it's only 0.5% spread which is best i've ever seen and no fee.

i get it that it feels weird buying giftcards-- however it works very well. in fact it's sometimes less problematic because the giftcard can be a printout or screenshot in case you don't have internet or sometimes Lightning wallets decide to freeze. --maybe it's just my old phone camera scanner doesn't like to work sometimes

and now i'm starting to think if Walmart/Amazaon etc starts realizing that Bitrefill is selling so many giftcards for bitcoiners, they might just do the same.

so maybe the giftcard route demonstrates demand that will drive merchants to just accept the bitcoin themselves...

plus giftcards can be bought with base layer bitcoin which is more fun to use than lightning.
