#nostr and #bitcoin apps don’t need to compete with each other. That’s so fiat. We’re building a new world where everyone can benefit by making all of the products as good as they possibly can be.

Preach my friend drop that fiat way of thinking.. the greed will fade when you simply just need to hold #Bitcoin

Anti capitalism is anti Bitcoin. Did you know that?

That’s not actually what I’m talking about here. Centralized companies and products need to compete for the same users because they own your data, require permission to use them, and make money off of you, the product. When you’re using a protocol, your keys are your property and you are the one providing permission. Traditional fiat-style capitalism leads to centralization.

“Centralzed Companies”. Natural Selection; it’s a real thing.

Is it truly natural if they’re in bed with governments, though…

I agree, but the standard for a “nostr app” should be high. Mechanisms lacking trust-minimization and censorship-resistance shouldn’t be praised, else aren’t we as bad as Ethereum? nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m

Parading everything as “good” is risky given that Bitcoin’s success arose from its conservative nature.

We should be striving for atomic interactions, *free of webservers* — not trust-based payments for nostr services.
