Joshua Tree, CA > Quartzsite, AZ > Scottsdale, AZ > Sedona, AZ > Prescott, AZ > Williams, AZ > The Grand Canyon > Laughlin, NV > Barstow, CA
Arizona is fucking beautiful to drive through. Deserts, forests, rivers, huge rock formations, big-ass canyons. 
I miss Arizona.
We have seen it all after living in AZ for 20 years but now we are moving back east as the Californians have taken over the state like cockroaches.
A nice place to visit but you wouldn't want to live here.
I live near the ocean (and could never give that up regardless of how backwards the politics get out here) but I love the desert. Couldn’t live there but like you said, amazing to visit.
A couple years back we took a road trip up the Cali coast on Hwy 1 all the way to Washington state and we did not want to come back.
Way prettier and more majestic than the East coast.
