I always think I know English and then I talk to someone with a thick Scottish accent....
at the end of the conversation I was so tired of saying "sorry, what" I just pretended I understand and laughed at everything hoping it wasn't a question 🙃

I’ve watched too many football shows throughout my life, ended up actually understanding scousers, even though English is my second language 😆
I literally have been working with the people from all over the UK for 3 years but I still can't understand them sometimes... 😅
I actually flew to the John Lennon’s Airport this May, when I was visiting my friend in Wales. The strength of the scouse accent really caught me by surprise when speaking to an actual person, even though I’ve heard it for years 😂
hahahahahha I swear sometimes I'm doubting if they're even talking English hahahahahah
I remember I wanted to buy something off Gregg’s, then I realised he asked me something, which just didn’t register even after hearing it for the third time. Ended up standing like I hadn’t ever learnt a word of English 😶
hahahahahahha literally me today hahahahahha
I was so embarrassed bahahahahahha
Get ready for the next level.
😂😂😂. In these situation when a question is asked I always say “yes” hoping the person is not asking me to go rob a bank 😅
hahahahahahahha lol 😆 😂 🤣
As a Scot who lives outside of Scotland, I learned to pretty quickly adjust when folks aren’t hearing what I’m saying - and now my accent sounds Scottish to Australians and Australian to Scots, but at least most folks can understand me first time round!
hahahahahahab thank you for adjusting hahahahah I bet people really appreciate it! 🫂🤣🤣🤣
