It requires them to have getAlby and NWC, so that is understandable 🐶🐾🫡

You can use nwc without alby

His point is that it’s already too much work for a normie. I tend to agree. But I’m sure it will become easier over time. Obviously won’t be possible without you

It is

What is NWC?

Nostr Wallet Connect 🐶🐾🫡

Thanks

Also, after looking at the code of zapplepay, I would personally not trust it. The keys to your wallet (even if you set the budget) are stored in clear on a server. I don’t know where that server is or show has access to it, or how well it’s protected. The more users use it the larger and more profitable target it becomes. So there is that 🐶🐾🫡

Hmm.

I’m not sure if there is a good way to store this securely since it has to all be read by the server based on a trigger of a “like” and not some explicit action from the zapper (I.e. making an API call and decrypting the encrypted string to make the payment).

Only solution I can think of is running a “personal” zap agent on your computer for yourself that performs the same function.

You’d still need to protect your nwc info but at least you’d be responsible for yourself.

I didn’t say it was an easy problem, so it is hard. If it’s a serious service, I would take a look at what Asinq did with their routing node. They definitely put in a lot of thought into it 🐶🐾🫡

I agree. Was thinking “out loud” in my note more than anything.

I agree if this is going to be a long term or serious workaround.

I appreciate you looking at the source code and doing due diligence on that.
